Your Next Weekend Away: A Renovated Neoclassical Spa Hotel in Františkovy Lázně
Prague Morning
The hotel, housed in a 1918 Neoclassical building, has renovated its rooms, restaurant and wellness facilities.
Františkovy Lázně, one of the Czech Republic’s best-known spa towns, is offering visitors a renovated accommodation option following an extensive refurbishment of the five-star Harvey Spa Hotel.
Located in the town’s park zone in western Bohemia, the hotel occupies a Neoclassical building dating back to 1918. The recent renovation covered all 105 rooms, as well as the lobby, corridors and restaurant, updating the interiors while retaining the building’s historic character.
The hotel is situated next to the town’s central park, within walking distance of its main colonnades and mineral springs. Glauber I Spring, one of the town’s traditional drinking cure springs, is located in the nearby park by Swan Lake.
Spa treatments and wellness facilities
The hotel offers a range of spa treatments, massages and wellness services, alongside a relaxation pool, sauna and fitness centre. Guests can combine traditional spa procedures with recreational facilities during both short stays and longer wellness programmes.
The property also features a restaurant and BAR 222, which has been renovated as part of the wider refurbishment.

Františkovy Lázně has a long history as a European spa destination, attracting visitors with its mineral springs and therapeutic treatments for more than 200 years. In 2021, the town became part of the UNESCO World Heritage listing Great Spa Towns of Europe, together with ten other historic spa towns across seven countries.
Its compact centre, historic colonnades and landscaped parks make it suitable for visitors looking to explore the town on foot. The surrounding region also offers opportunities for walking and excursions beyond the spa centre.

Staying at Harvey Spa Hotel
The hotel has 105 air-conditioned rooms, all refurbished as part of the renovation.
Its location directly beside the central park also means guests can reach the town’s main spa attractions on foot, while the hotel’s five-star facilities make it possible to combine accommodation with spa treatments and wellness services during the same stay.
