This spot is way simpler than it sounds. Jídelna in Czech can be cafeteria in the simplest meaning you can imagine. It can be your school cafeteria as well as cafeteria for workers. This one though is very special.
Jídelna Kuchařek bez domova is a charity project helping homeless women, so the staff cooking and serving you your food are women with some homeless experience. And from my experience, they’re exceptionally friendly and talkative, which makes the visit always fairly pleasant.
When talking about simplicity in the beginning, I meant the fact that they only have a daily menu which consists of a different vegan soup and meal every day. You can be also sure that it is always made of fresh and seasonal vegetables.
All in all, so far everything I’ve tasted has been delicious and I cannot remember many spots where you can get soup + main dish for 95 CZK and be helping at the same time.
