Korso Krymská 2018 will not take place.
The city of Prague is preparing a major reconstruction of a water pipeline, and the street will be inaccessible from the end of April. The works are scheduled until mid-September.
The reconstruction of the pipeline will also be linked to the complete reconstruction of the road, which will be ready either this autumn or spring next year.
Korso Krymska is one of Prague’s most beloved events. All the local businesses join forces and throw a huge block party with food stands, workshops, Djs, a program for kids.
Last year, New York Times mentioned Krymská street as one of their 12 favorites in Europe. Despite its superficial lack of aesthetic charm, it cannot be denied that in recent years, Krymská has become possibly the hippest and most happening hangouts in the city. Bars, galleries and restaurants have flocked to this narrow, meandering backstreet and there is a real buzz about the area, especially in the evenings.
