Modeselektor to Open Spectaculare Festival at Prague's ROXY

Berlin electronic duo Modeselektor will open the 14th edition of Spectaculare on 3 March 2027, bringing their live show to ROXY alongside new music from their latest album, MDSLKTR
Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary will perform a set combining techno, electro, hip-hop and bass music, accompanied by visual projections and lighting.
The concert comes shortly after the release of MDSLKTR, an album that revisits the sound and influences that have shaped the duo’s nearly three-decade career.
The record follows Classics Vol. 01, a project that revisited material from their early albums Hello Mom! and Happy Birthday! and drew on years of studio recordings and unfinished ideas.
With MDSLKTR, Modeselektor return to the sounds that first defined their music, drawing on Berlin rave culture, techno, electro, IDM and hip-hop while continuing to move between genres.
Since emerging from Berlin’s underground electronic scene, the duo have built an international following through their studio albums, live performances and collaborations with artists including Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke, Tommy Cash, Flohio and Blixa Bargeld.
They also formed Moderat with producer Apparat and run the independent record label Monkeytown Records.

Berlin-based multi-instrumentalist Philipp Johann Thimm will open the evening. A longtime collaborator of Apparat, Thimm has worked across electronic and acoustic music as well as audiovisual projects. His work on Apparat’s album *LP5* contributed to a Grammy-nominated project, while his solo work explores the meeting point between electronic composition and live instrumentation.
