The biggest homing pigeons’ race took place this morning in Krajková, in the Sokolovsko region.
23,000 homing pigeons set out on a flight of several hundred kilometres from West Bohemia to Moravia or as far as Slovakia. The first pigeons made it back home within five to six hours.
Pigeons flew 300-400 kilometers across the country. The first of them came back home (in the village of Havrice) at 10:01, after covering more than 348 kilometers.
