Smartwings Launches Direct Flights Between Prague and Lisbon
Prague Morning
Smartwings has launched a new direct route between Prague and Lisbon, with flights operating three times a week.
The first service departed on Friday, October 23, with every seat occupied, according to airline spokeswoman Vladimíra Dufková.
The new connection links Prague with the Portuguese capital on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
The route adds Lisbon to Smartwings’ existing scheduled services to Portugal, which already include Porto, Funchal on the island of Madeira, and Ponta Delgada in the Azores.
Flights are operated by Boeing 737 aircraft with a capacity of 189 passengers. The journey from Prague to Lisbon takes approximately three hours and 40 minutes, while the return flight takes three hours and 25 minutes.
One-way tickets start at CZK 2,940. The fare includes one piece of cabin baggage measuring up to 55 × 40 × 23 centimetres and weighing no more than eight kilograms.
Smartwings to Resume Prague–Bucharest Flights
Smartwings will also resume scheduled flights between Prague and Bucharest on November 26. The service will operate four times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.
One-way fares for the Romanian capital start at CZK 2,470, including cabin baggage, Dufková said.
The two routes form part of Smartwings’ winter 2026–2027 flight schedule, which includes direct services from Czech airports to 39 destinations. The Smartwings Group will also operate flights from Poland, Slovakia and Hungary during the winter season.
