The Czech Republic will face a week of cloudy skies, freezing fog, and occasional rain starting Monday. Here’s what to expect in the coming days, according to meteorologists.
Monday:
The day will start with low clouds and fog, which could be freezing in many areas. While some regions may experience clear or nearly clear skies in the morning, cloud cover will increase throughout the day. Daytime temperatures will range between 1°C and 5°C, with Silesia possibly reaching 7°C. Areas shrouded in fog all day may remain just below freezing. At night, temperatures will drop to -6°C, especially in regions with snow cover.
Tuesday and Wednesday:
Cloudy skies and freezing fog will persist, with light snow or drizzle possible in some areas. Nighttime temperatures will fall to around -4°C, while daytime highs will hover around 4°C above zero. Winds will remain weak or absent. On Wednesday, partly cloudy skies may emerge from the west, offering some relief in certain regions.
Thursday:
Expect a mix of cloudy skies and occasional precipitation, including freezing rain in some areas. Night temperatures will range from 0°C to -4°C, with daytime highs reaching 5°C. A moderate southeast to south wind, blowing at 2 to 6 m/s, will dominate, while a weak, variable wind will prevail in the western part of Bohemia.
Friday and Weekend:
Little change is expected. Cloudy skies, light rain, and freezing rain will continue. In the mountains, there will be periods of mixed precipitation. Night temperatures may remain slightly above freezing in some areas, reaching up to 3°C, with daytime highs between 2°C and 7°C.
