Lesser Town Carnival

One of Prague’s most picturesque carnival processions begins at Loretánské Square and winds its way through Nerudova, Thunovská, and Mostecká streets before culminating at Malostranské náměstí. The festivities include live music by Kutheil Band, traditional Czech food, and plenty of mulled wine and slivovice. The parade stops at various historic pubs and restaurants, offering an authentic Masopust experience.
Žižkov Carnival

Celebrating its 30th anniversary, the Žižkov Carnival is a major highlight of Masopust. The traditional masked procession, featuring horse-drawn carriages, giant puppets, musicians, and artists, departs from Radost Park at 3:00 PM and winds through Žižkov’s streets before arriving at the Atrium. Along the way, revelers can sample free food and drinks.
Carnival in Prague 10

In Vršovice, the Masopust parade starts and ends at Náměstí Svatopluka Čecha, featuring bonfires, music, and feasting. In the evening, Circus Problem and Trombenik will perform at Vzlet, followed by an afterparty with DJ Kubiik. On March 2nd, the celebrations continue with an interactive family concert.
Kbelský Carnival

Featuring a competition for the best mask, live brass music, and Czech carnival delicacies, the Kbelský Carnival is a must-visit. The parade starts in Central Park, with stops at Nouzovské náměstí for a dance with a bear, followed by the mare slaughter tradition and a Koloběžka Theater performance.
Karlín Carnival

The 22nd Karlín Carnival offers a mix of theater, creative workshops, and live music. Visitors can indulge in traditional Czech slaughterhouse specialties, sweet cakes, and frgály (Moravian pies) while enjoying performances by Ivan Hlas Trio and Šoulet Band.
Letňany Carnival

The Letňany Carnival will kick off in front of the Letňany Town Hall, followed by a masked procession leading to Stará Náves, where the main program will take place. Visitors can enjoy performances by the Prague Leopards, a children’s competition, Sváťa’s Theater’s fairy tale show, and a mask contest. Traditional Czech delicacies, pony rides, and a festive atmosphere await.
Ďáblice Carnival

The Ďáblice Carnival Parade begins at 2:00 PM from the Municipal House of Ďáblice. Attendees in creative costumes will march through the district, enjoying a festive atmosphere with music, performances, and a traditional feast.
Masopust na Klamovka

Perfect for families with young children, this event offers a game trail in the park, a lively children’s carnival, and a mask parade. The highlight is the dance masquerade at Klamovka Club’s theater hall.

📅 March 4, 2025, from 3:45 PM | 📍 Bělohorská Street to Břevnov Monastery
The masquerade parade departs from the Moje Kredenc store at 4:00 PM, making its way to Břevnov Monastery. Participants will be greeted with a Shrovetide beer tapping, alongside classic Czech dishes like jitrnice, tlačenka, and trdlo. Jugglers, musicians, and masquerade performers will accompany the procession.
Střížkov Carnival in Václavka Park
