Wizz Air is launching two more regular connections from Václav Havel Airport Prague.
Effective July 2021, the carrier plans to operate flights from Prague to Rome and Sicily, offering passengers direct routes to the Italian capital via Fiumicino Airport up to four times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
In addition, Wizz Air will offer three frequencies a week on the route to Catania located on the popular Mediterranean island. In the coming weeks, the airline has planned to resume flights from Prague Airport to more destinations in its network based on current demand and valid travel conditions.
“We are pleased that Wizz Air has decided to expand its network of direct flights to Italy, a country very popular with Czech passengers. We believe that thanks to the planned introduction of uniform rules for travel and gradual relaxation of the implemented measures, these attractive routes will be sought after,” Jaroslav Filip, Director of Prague Airport Aviation Business, said.
The carrier operates its routes using Airbus A320 Family aircraft. Tickets will be available for purchase via the WizzAir website.
Prague Airport has prepared a special website for passengers with a current overview of available connections from Prague, including important travel information and additional interesting facts.
Throughout the 2021 summer season, it remains recommended to passengers with scheduled flights to review all currently valid conditions for travel before the journey.
This includes both the conditions implemented in their final destination and the measures governing their return to the Czech Republic, thus avoiding possible complications during check-in and border control.
Passengers should also be aware of all applicable measures aboard aircraft of their airline as well as measures implemented at Prague Airport, which meet high standards and comply with all requirements of international organisations.
The set airport standards were approved by the issuance of the international ACI Airport Health Accreditation certification, which proves that the high level of working protective measures leads to greater safety of passengers flying via Prague.
