Prague’s outdoor swimming pools are opening their gates for the 2025 season.

From Petynka in Prague 6 to Hostivař reservoir in Prague 10, here is everything you need to know before heading out — opening hours, ticket prices and what has changed this year.

The Hostivařska přehrada in Prague 10 is one of the most popular summer destinations in the city. Both the main beach and the nudist section are open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. An all-day adult ticket costs 170 CZK; seniors and children under 140 cm pay 110 CZK. Children shorter than one metre enter free.

The Radotín Biotop has been welcoming swimmers since May 18. The site runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with a standard admission of 200 CZK for the day. Pensioners and children aged 6 to 12 pay 160 CZK.

Petynka in Prague 6 — Open but with Reduced Capacity

Petynka opened in mid-May, though ongoing construction work on its covered section has trimmed maximum capacity from 1,600 to 1,300 visitors. Beach volleyball, table tennis and children’s quad bikes are temporarily out of service; the water slide remains in operation.

• May: 8:00–18:00 daily
• June to mid-August: 7:00–21:00 daily
• 16–31 August: 7:00–20:00 daily
• September: 8:00–19:00 daily

• Adults and teens 15+: 250 CZK all day, 180 CZK after 15:00
• Children under 15, students, seniors: 150 CZK / 100 CZK

Petynka

Motol — Free Entry, Temporary Facilities

The Motol swimming pool has been open since May 22. Construction of a new building means visitors are working with temporary mobile facilities for now, but admission is free. Hours run daily from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Pražačka in Prague 3 — Heated Pool and New Digital Features

The Pražačka outdoor pool is set to open no later than May 29. This season brings a heated pool divided into three zones — relaxation, lap swimming and a children’s area. Prague 3 spokesman Petr Habán confirmed the complex is also launching a new website with real-time data on pool attendance and current water and air temperatures.

Hours will follow the usual summer pattern, roughly 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. The all-day entry fee is currently 220 CZK for adults, rising by 30 CZK from June. Children under 15, students and seniors pay 180 CZK.

Lhotka in Prague 4 — Season Starts June 1

The Lhotka swimming pool kicks off its season on Monday, June 1 at 10:00 a.m. Renovations are continuing on the site, but management says operations will not be disrupted. When the expansion is complete, it will bring a multi-purpose playground, an outdoor workout area and table tennis.

June hours:

• Monday–Thursday: 10:00–19:00
• Friday: 10:00–20:00
• Saturday: 9:00–20:00
• Sunday: 9:00–19:00
• July and August: 9:00–20:00 daily

Tickets: Adults 180 CZK for the day; children under 15 and seniors over 65 pay 120 CZK.
