Several thousand Ukrainian workers will go to the Czech Republic to work in the arms industry, confirmed the Czech Defence Ministry. The arrival of the new workers from Ukraine, together with the development of the defence industry, could bring the country financial benefits, Czech Radio reported.

Prosecutors on Monday charged the Czech former MP Dominik Feri on two counts of rape and one of attempted rape, Seznam Zprávy reported. According to previous reports, the 26-year-old former politician could face up to 10 years in prison if found guilty as one of the alleged victims was 17.

UK outfit Jamiriquai is set to headline at the Metronome Prague music festival next June, the organisers said on Tuesday. The band, who had a string of hits in the 1990s, have played at Prague’s O2 Arena and Colours of Ostrava festival in recent years.

In 2022, wages increased the most for IT workers in regions outside Prague and Brno, as well as accountants, welders and electricians, according to data from the Grafton Recruitment agency.

EU ambassadors have agreed a package of financial assistance to Ukraine in the amount of €18 billion, as well as a minimum tax for large companies in the amount of 15%. Hungary was also allowed to use €5.8 billion in EU funds if Budapest meets 27 preconditions, the Czech presidency of the EU Council said on its Twitter page.
