This weekend, the Czech Republic is set to undergo a minor decrease in temperatures accompanied by widespread showers and thunderstorms, as forecasted by the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (ČHMÚ).
The following week is expected to bring back sunnier and warmer weather.
Based on the meteorologists’ weekly weather forecast shared on Facebook, today most areas, except the northeastern part of the country, can expect summer temperatures above 25 °C.
Tomorrow (Friday), the majority of regions will continue to experience summer-like temperatures.
However, cloud cover will increase, and there is a likelihood of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, especially in Bohemia.
During the weekend, a slight cooling trend is anticipated. The skies will alternate between partial cloudiness, heavy clouds, and showers, while thunderstorms are expected on Saturday.
Daytime temperatures on Saturday will range from 20 to 24 °C, reaching as high as 26 °C in the Polabí and Poohří regions.
On Sunday, meteorologists predict daytime highs of 22 to 26 °C, with slightly warmer temperatures in southern Moravia.
