We’ll discover together new openings in the city, hidden cafes, bistros, or well-renowned restaurants. Are you searching for the best lasagne in Prague? Well, we can definitely recommend Lasagneria – an Italian bistro/restaurant offering the true authentic Italian lasagna! They offer a wide variety of combinations – from the traditional Lasagna alla Bolognese to the cheesy ones Quattro Formaggi or Bufalina, lasagne with basil pesto or also a special vegan version! Moreover, you can always find a seasonal lasagna there – for summer, it is lasagne Parmigiana. Would you also love to try all of them? We completely get that! During our last visit, we got lasagna Bufalina with our beloved mozzarella di bufala and lasagna Amatriciana and we enjoyed both of them so much! However, please make sure to be hungry when you visit this place as the portions are huge (500 gr.) so it takes an effort to finish it! For drinks, you can get traditional Italian Aperol or a glass of Prosecco. Unfortunately, many of us won’t visit Italy this year but you can get at...

We’ll discover together new openings in the city, hidden cafes, bistros, or well-renowned restaurants. Have you already heard of rolled ice cream? It’s prepared on a special freezing plate right in front of your eyes! So where should you go to get this cool icecream? Definitely to Rolls Bros! We visited the one in Manifesto Market in Florenc – there is also one near Wenceslas square and Stromovka shopping mall. So how does it work? You can choose between three different bases – cream, yogurt, or vegan coconut base. You can choose up to three ingredients (strawberries, blueberries, Raffaello, Kinder Bueno, lotus cookies…) and you can also get a toping, f.e. Nutella. We tried all three bases and they were all DELICIOUS – the best combination was coconut base with Rafaello and pineapple, you should definitely try this one! A combination of yogurt base with forest fruits was fresh and not so sweet, on the contrary, cream base with Kinder Bueno and strawberries was pleasantly sweet. We’ve come across this special type of ice cream a few years ago...
Sunday, June 19th – 12 noon till 8pm – ‘NEBU Curry Club’, Nebušice As a British expat who’s lived here for nearly 20 years, let me tell you what I miss most – no, it’s not fish and chips!, it’s Curry – as an ex catering college ‘chef’ from the 1980s who thinks he can do a pretty decent ‘chicken tikka masala’ (sadly not as good as my younger brother, Declan, who never studied a day at catering college in his life!) I think I’ve tried most of the Indian restaurants our beautiful City has to offer but have never really found anywhere that’s really ‘hit the spot’. Until now – six weeks ago, a friend took me to Manifesto in Florenc to meet Sunil, the owner of NEBU, who asked me to sample his Italian-Indian ‘fusion’ cuisine. I really wasn’t convinced (chicken tikka in a calzone pizza!) but truthfully, I was totally blown away. Two weeks later he invited both of us to eat at his restaurant in Nebušice to meet his chefs and team promising me Indian food “like I’d never tasted before”. We got there at 12 noon on a lovely sunny day, and after several hours...

We’ll discover together new openings in the city, hidden cafes, bistros, or well-renowned restaurants. The review that you wished for the most during this month was definitely on a newly opened bistro Knedlín. The concept of this place is really unique as it connects the traditional Czech dumplings with current food trends and extra-ordinary dumpling fillings. We truly believe it is such a great idea which can surely help foreigners, younger generations as well as those who do not really enjoy Czech dumplings to better understand our Czech cuisine. What do we think about the dumplings itself? Well, you can get there both, sweet as well as salty ones and we only tried two sweet ones – the coconut one filled with berries and another one with blueberries. We enjoyed both of them, nevertheless, we expected more, considering the boom which is connected with this bistro. The dough was good, not too sweet which we liked and the filling was tasty too, we do not really have anything specific to criticize, it is just the overall feeling – we...

We’ll discover together new openings in the city, hidden cafes, bistros, or well-renowned restaurants. Spojka Karlín is a great addition to the restaurants in Prague 8. This place was opened quite recently but thanks to its outstanding philosophy (Food connects us), delicious food made of high-quality ingredients, an amazing interior full of plants, and friendly atmosphere, it is already pretty successful. The quality of ingredients as well as the combination of tastes forming one great dish is a must there. In their menu, you can find many extraordinary vegetarians as well as meat-based combinations. Moreover, during the workweek, you can always find here a lunch menu, which we tried during our visit. We got an amazing salad with duck breast and hummus with grilled vegetable and pitta bread. We were especially amazed by the hummus – it is surely as good as our so far most favorite hummus in Prague from Paprika. The restaurant also offers breakfast and brunch menu and coffee & cakes, which we definitely have to try during our next visit. During your visit, you will...
Grom, the “all-natural” Piemontese (Turin-based) gelateria, is set to open its first shop in Wenceslas Square on July 1.
Kateřina and Tereza, food lovers who run the successful Instagram channel kamvpraze, will share with us at Prague Morning a weekly food tip. We’ll discover together new openings in the city, hidden cafes, bistros, or well-renowned restaurants. We’ve visited Na břehu Rhôny mainly for two reasons – firstly, it has won in our list of the top 10 wine bars in Prague and secondly, we were really curious about how it works. We’ve only heard good things about it, so we wanted to see for ourselves! So how does the concept work exactly? You grab a wine glass, paper, and a pencil. You can choose from a huge variety of white, red, and rose wines, which you can pour by yourself. There are two lines on the glass – one for 1dcl and the second one for 2dcl, so it’s totally up to you how much wine you want to get. After that, you write the amount and type of wine on your paper. And in the end you pay according to your „self-made” receipt! We really liked this concept. Moreover, the wines we tried were very good. Prices are quite high, but also is the quality of the wines. There are...

The Art Nouveau French Restaurant in the Prague Municipal House is the latest Prague dining establishments to shut down because of COVID-19.
Functional foods are foods that have a potentially positive effect on health beyond basic nutrition and not just for the pleasure of the taste or simply craving. However, are we actually ready to sacrifice some pleasure of food to optimize our health? We all know the importance of our health and if we had forgotten, we would have all got a brutal reminder during these last few months with Covid-19. We use functional food for our dogs, our cats, horses, well all the animals we humans take care of. Surely we want the animals to have the highest quality of life and we want to keep them for as long as we can. However, the question is, don’t we want the same for our family members and friends? Of course, we do! Somehow food has become so much about what we feel like eating, the pleasure of the taste much more than what is actually good for us and what our body’s need to stay healthy. We are tricked by ingredients like salt and sugar, that we can develop a craving for, but that we actually only need in very reduced amounts. In other words, our body does not tell...
The first-ever complete-nutrition, plant-based burger patty from Czech food producer Mana is entering the world of gastronomy.

We’ll discover together new openings in the city, hidden cafes, bistros, or well-renowned restaurants. We were lucky to be invited to Mozzarellart and to have the opportunity to enjoy a piece of Italy in Nusle in Prague. In this cozy shop, you can get great cheese (mozzarella, burrata, stracciatella, ricotta, and more) or Italian ham & salami as well as Italian wine, sun-dried tomatoes, olives, and many other foods. If you wish, you can also sit and enjoy a glass of wine with some of those amazing Italian delicacies. Mozzarellart is exceptional and unique mainly because they make their own mozzarella right in this cozy little shop in Nusle! You can peek into this little factory through a window, so if you arrive soon enough, you can also see the entire production process. The whole shop offers a pleasant, authentic Italian atmosphere that can’t be experienced in many other Italian shops or restaurants in Prague. As soon as you taste their mozzarella for the first time, you won’t ever want to eat any other (believe us!). Moreover, everyone in...
