The Czech online supermarket Rohlik has reached out to help small farmers and entrepreneurs who have been hit by the ban on Christmas markets On its Twitter account, the company opened the possibility for small sellers or farmers to contact Rohlík and offer their goods directly through the online supermarket. In November, Prague City Hall accepted a proposal to provide discounts for tenants in city-owned non-residential premises as a result of the ongoing pandemic. Entrepreneurs can apply for discounts from now until the end of the year. Depending on the type of business and terms of the contract, the discounts range from 30% up to 70% of the rent. In the last months of 2021, the majority of European countries, including the Czech Republic, has seen a surge of new Covid-19 cases. As a reaction to the new wave of Covid-19 infections, Prague City Hall launched the third round of rental discounts for entrepreneurs who might face possible serious economic consequences again. Czech President Milos Zeman has been released from hospital after more than six weeks, the Central Military Hospital in Prague (UVN) said on Thursday.
