To illustrate a representative of this nation, the site named Hollywood actress Mila Kunis who indeed has Ukrainian roots and was born in the city of Chernivtsi in the Ukrainian SSR. In second place was Denmark, home to such hunks as Lord of the Rings actor Viggo Mortensen. Filipino was shown to be the third best-looking nationality in the world. From July 4trh to September 19th, Wallenstein Garden hosts classical music concerts every Thursday at 5.00 p.m. until September 26, 2019. You can listen for free to performing brass bands, choral groups, jazz bands and many others. The garden was created at the same time as the Wallenstein Palace in the early 17th century, in the lower part of the Malá Strana District. It displays a fine example of Mannerist layout and decoration, with very diverse sections. In order to commemorate the end of WW2, the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic is going to open for the public Liechtenstein Palace at the Kampa, a historic palace built in the late 17th century, renovated in 1864. Liechtenstein Palace is one of the most beautiful and largest palaces in Prague. It´s used for representative purposes by The Office of the Government of the Czech Republic. On the second floor, there are apartments, in which stayed, for example, Spanish King Juan Carlos with his wife Sofie, British Queen Elisabeth II, Japanese Emperor Akihito with Empress Michiko. The halls and salons in the basement are used for working meetings and friendly gatherings. Between 1979 and 1991 the palace was renovated according to the project of architect B. Fuchse jr. and adapted to serve the purposes of the Government Presidium. This restaurant is located in a charming building in this not very busy park with a pond full of fish. Originally a vineyard, later a monastery and finally a tiny castle, it was renovated in 2010 and turned into a restaurant capable of hosting big group functions. But you don’t have to worry—it is usually a very quiet place. I strongly recommend sitting outside enjoying the kind of environment you would not expect to find about 100 meters from a major road. It probably helps that to get here you have to take a bus (180 to station Kajetánka) or tram (22 or 25 to the station Marjánka) and walk a little. At least three Russian airlines have canceled most of their Tuesday flights to the Czech Republic over what they said was the country’s decision to revoke flight permissions to and from Prague. The flagship carrier Aeroflot and Ural Airlines are the only Russian airlines that perform direct flights to and from Prague. Czech Airlines performs return flights to and from Moscow twice a day. “Because of the decision by the Czech Republic’s aviation authorities to revoke earlier issued permits for Moscow-Prague-Moscow flights, Aeroflot has to cancel following flights: SU2010/2011, SU2014/2015, SU2016/2017 and SU2018/2019, scheduled for 2 July”, the airline said in a statement. At the same time, flights SU2012/2013 and SU2024/2025 will be carried out as scheduled, according to Aeroflot. Ural Airlines also “indefinitely” canceled flights to Prague from Moscow and Yekaterinburg on Tuesday, then said its Yekaterinburg-Prague flights had been restored. Aeroflot-owned Pobeda Airlines canceled flights from Moscow to the Czech spa town of Karlovy Vary. The Czech Telecommunication Office has published draft conditions governing its forthcoming sale of frequencies suitable for 5G mobile services, noting that reserve prices on the available spectrum mean the process should net upwards of quarter of a billion euros for government coffers and that the conditions of the sale are designed to facilitate the entry of a new player to the market. The regulator aims to auction off spectrum in the 700 MHz and 3.5 GHz bands in January next year with a view to handing over the airwaves to operators by April for use by mid-2020. Further, any incumbent operator acquiring 700-MHz spectrum will be required to provide national roaming to the newcomer for six years. However, to take advantage of this condition the newcomer will have to cover 20% of the Czech population with its own network. The regulator also outlined a series of coverage obligations the auction participants must adhere to. Finally, it noted that it has set reserve prices based on analysis of spectrum sales elsewhere in Europe. Sunday was the warmest day ever recorded at Prague’s Klementinum, the oldest Czech monitoring station. The temperature reached 37.9 degrees Celsius, the highest since measurements began in 1775. The previous record for the 30th of June at Klementinum was 35.7 degrees, set in 1950. For June as a whole, the average national temperature was 20.7C, which was the warmest since 1961 when forecasters began monitoring monthly averages. Across Europe, several other records were set as well, with a town in southern France reporting a new national high of 45.9 C on June 28. Last week much of Europe sweltered in an early summer blast of scorching temperatures, as scientists warn that global warming linked to human fossil fuel use could make such heatwaves more frequent. For the second year running, Hong Kong has topped the league, emerging as the most expensive city for overseas workers, according to Mercer’s 2019 Global Talent Trends report Other Asian cities are not far behind, with the continent claiming eight of the top 10 places in the table. The National Gallery Prague (NGP) opened a large exhibition French Impressionism: Masterpieces from the Ordrupgaard Collection with 60 works including Claude Monet, Edgar Degas, Auguste Renoir, and Camille Pissarro on June 29 in the Kinsky Palace. The display will show also artistic overlaps with other artistic tendencies. Romantic painting will be represented by Eugène Delacroix and the realistic method by Gustave Courbet or the artists of the so-called Barbizon school, such as Jean-Baptiste Camille Corot and Charles-François Daubigny. The outstanding works from the collection of sixty paintings will also include chef d’oeuvres by post-Impressionists Paul Cézanne and Paul Gauguin. Since autumn 2017, Ordrupgaard’s unique collection of French art has been touring outside the borders of Denmark.
