Belgium has taken Prague off its list of safe destinations for travel due to a spike in COVID-19 cases. The Czech Embassy in Brussels informed that Prague has been included among the orange destinations (along with the Moravian-Silesian region). It means that after returning to Belgium, it is necessary to produce a negative Covid-19 test or go into a two-week quarantine upon their return. All passengers (regardless of the country they come from) must fill in the “Public Health Passenger Locator Form” before traveling to Belgium. This form can be used to contact the traveler if an infection is detected and to start tracing other people if necessary. The increase in recent days is due, among other things, to the outbreak in the Techtle Mechtle nightclub. From today, July 27, the public will be required also to wear a face mask in pharmacies and medical facilities, “where it is not always possible to maintain a two-meter distance from other people.” The Czech Republic reported 115 cases of the new coronavirus on Monday, bringing the country’s total to 15,324. As of Monday afternoon, a total of 371 people died, while 11428 recovered. If you are looking for a job in...

Catalonia’s regional government has asked millions of people to “stay at home” as the area experienced a resurgence in coronavirus cases. It is not a legal order, but instead a “strong recommendation” intended to control contagion and avoid a full-blown lockdown. The authorities notified 1,300 new daily cases on Thursday, most of them in Barcelona and the metropolitan area. Around four million people in the Barcelona metropolitan area have been requested to only leave home for essential reasons, with cinemas, theatres and nightclubs also closing. Restaurants and bars are now limited to half capacity, a ban on visits to elderly people’s homes has been implemented. The Catalan government also announced new social distancing measures for 15 days that will limit gatherings to 10 people. The measures concern the city of Barcelona and its surrounding areas, towns and cities and will initially be in place for two weeks. Until the measures are finalized, both city and regional authorities agree that the situation in the Catalan capital is worrying. “We have started to have cases in other neighborhoods of Barcelona that are further away from the outbreak zone,” said Jacobo Mendioroz, the head of the Covid-19 monitoring unit in Catalonia. Guests in catering facilities will not have to wear masks. Speaking to NOVA TV the Interior Minister, Davor Bozinovic, said that “masks in shops will be obligatory from the beginning of next week. It doesn’t have to be a medical mask, but I reiterate, autumn could be a more serious challenge, and then the measures could be a little tighter.” “We have also discussed the situation on the border. It has improved significantly but considering the worsening of the epidemiological situation in neighboring countries, we will definitely make criteria for entry into Croatia stricter and introduce 14-day self-isolation as well as shorter periods of self-isolation if a person...
