As a result, new studios and soundstages were built and local crews and production companies gained considerable experience. The Czech Republic has proven a popular destination also for Christmas commercials. We have selected the best ones filmed in the country: Action-movie hero Chuck Norris, famous by tough-guy roles in 1980s films such as “Forced Vengeance” and “Missing in Action”—is starring in a series of TV commercials here for T-Mobile and its satellite-TV service. A commercial from Milka Fine Chocolates and titled ‘The Time Machine”. Look at this 2016 Coca-Cola commercial filmed in the towns of Loket, Nebušice and Louny. The commercial for the Chinese smartphone manufacturer Oppo was filmed in Prague and Cologne, Germany, using a panorama of Cesky-Krumlov. In Frankie’s Holiday, a Frankenstein-like creature (played by Everybody Loves Raymond star Brad Garrett) finally receives the warm welcome he’s always yearned for to Perry Como’s song, Home for the Holidays. The 2017 Apple holiday commercial aka ode to the iPhone X was filmed in the Czech capital of Prague. Called “Sway”, the new...
Prague councilors presented a study of a new promenade for pedestrians, runners, skaters, and cyclists. It will be a four-kilometer-long connection between Vršovice and Strašnice in the route of the canceled railway corridor of the railway line. “We will get new barrier-free areas for meetings, social and cultural activities, regardless of age and ability to move. The promenade will connect to the existing surrounding network of streets. It will offer Prague citizens plenty of space for walking, cycling, or off-road skating,” said Deputy Mayor Adam Scheinherr. The reconstruction of the historic bridge and three new footbridges will be part of the transformation of the whole area. “The plan is to obtain a building permit in 2022, to compete with the contractor, and to start construction,” added Scheinherr. In the first phase, will take place the construction of a four-kilometer section between U Seřadiště and Dolínecká streets, and gradually the promenade will arrive near the Vršovice railway station. According to Scheinherr, the project will cost 200 to 300 million CZK. xosotin chelseathông tin chuyển nhượngcâu lạc bộ bóng đá arsenalbóng đá atalantabundesligacầu thủ haalandUEFAevertonfutebol ao vivofutemaxmulticanaisonbetbóng đá world cupbóng đá inter milantin juventusbenzemala ligaclb leicester cityMUman citymessi lionelsalahnapolineymarpsgronaldoserie atottenhamvalenciaAS ROMALeverkusenac milanmbappenapolinewcastleaston...
The measures against COVID-19 have heavily affected restaurants. Their biggest help is the in-person collection. Milan Borovič opened his restaurant Jezerka in Nusle three years ago and his business was running smoothly. However, due to this year’s precautionary measures made by the government, he has had to close down and his only means of sales is a walk-up window. Lunchtime periods are starting, yet there aren’t many customers. “We sell on average 25 meals a day,” he says. The state’s contribution helped him with paying his rent amidst these difficult times. According to Václav Stárek, the president of the Czech Hotels and Restaurants Association, the majority of gastronomes find the current aid intensity insufficient. We’ll make do until the end of the year. Hard to say what’s to come after, we’ll definitely do our best,” Borovič says. “I hope that my personnel will wait out the wintertime and plans on opening the garden and grill in March and get people back to the restaurant.” They don’t know if they will survive winter The owner of the Le Camille bistro in Anděl, Kamil Grůževský, suffered the same fate. He had to let go of a fraction of his employees, his...
This is something nightmares are made of. A man got a big fright when he opened up his hotel room bathroom last night in Prague’s Žižkov district to find a live snake inside. As Lidovky.cz reports, the guest immediately reported the unusual find to the receptionist, who called the police. Snake catchers were called to the hotel to remove the reptile from the bathroom. “The snake was safely removed and relocated, and the customer handled the situation like an absolute champ, having a sense of humor about it the entire time,” theyf said. The snake turned out to be non-poisonous. The royal python was taken to a shelter for abandoned animals in Dolní Měcholupy. According to the snake catcher “if you find a snake in similar circumstances, the best thing to do is not to panic; being bitten is extremely rare and they are only dangerous if you interact with them.” The hotel is investigating where the snake came from. xosotin chelseathông tin chuyển nhượngcâu lạc bộ bóng đá arsenalbóng đá atalantabundesligacầu thủ haalandUEFAevertonfutebol ao vivofutemaxmulticanaisonbetbóng đá world cupbóng đá inter milantin juventusbenzemala ligaclb leicester cityMUman citymessi lionelsalahnapolineymarpsgronaldoserie atottenhamvalenciaAS ROMALeverkusenac milanmbappenapolinewcastleaston villaliverpoolfa cupreal madridpremier leagueAjaxbao bong da247EPLbarcelonabournemouthaff cupasean footballbên lề sân...
Czech car production rose 2.8% year-on-year in October, the first monthly increase since the COVID-19 pandemic hit, although the second wave of infections poses new risks for the industry. Data from the Automotive Industry Association (AutoSAP) on Friday showed the country’s car factories produced 128,754 vehicles in October, up from 125,211 a year earlier and the first monthly increase since February. The car industry accounts for almost a quarter of industrial production in the central European country, which is one of the world’s largest per capita automotive producers. The sector has been rebounding from sharp falls earlier in the year when factories were idled after the initial outbreak of the coronavirus in March, but parts of Europe are now facing a stronger second wave of the pandemic. Factory gates have stayed open this time, although new lockdown measures are adding pressure to carmakers and parts suppliers, which often face worker shortages because of quarantines or parents staying home because schools are shut. “Companies are getting into a complicated situation,” AutoSAP director Zdenek Petzl said. Overall, Czech automotive production, including buses and motorcycles, was down 21.4% year-on-year at 941,486 in January-October. Car production was 937,033 in that period and AutoSAP said...

Today’s [Tuesday] protest was in front of the Czechoslovak Group company. DANA self-propelled artillery systems produced by this company have been used by Azerbaijan against Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) in recent days. “We were silent։ the bloody money, bloody clothes and ‘Armenian blood is on your hands’, ‘Who is responsible for DANAs in Azerbaijan’ notes were speaking instead of us.” “We are together in this, and we won’t give up,” the Armenian Youth Association of the Czech Republic stated on Facebook. Companies from the Czechoslovak Group operate in the automotive, railway, aviation, and watch industry and produce weapons, ammunition, and select vehicles. The holding also includes Tatra. The Land Systems division, which focuses on defense production and trade of land vehicles or ammunition. U Fleků, one of the oldest Prague breweries, broke a 177-year old tradition to expand its appeal. In response to the decrease in tourism, it has brewed a light beer called ‘Svatováclavský ležák’ for the first time ever. Since 1843, U Fleků has produced exclusively classic dark beer with a gravity of 13%. The brewery, which previously focused on tourists, plans now to attract more local residents. Light beer varieties are traditionally much more popular among Czechs. The coronavirus has hit the brewery hard. Half of the staff were laid off, and beer production fell to 15% of the pre-crisis level. The classic dark beer remains on the menu and dropped in price from 69 to 59 CZK for 400 ml to cope with the pandemic challenges. If the light Svatováclavský ležák is received well by locals, production will continue. About U Fleků U Fleků is the largest restaurant in the Czech Republic, seating 1200 people.
