In the Czech Republic, there are about 2500 electric vehicles and only 800 of them are passenger cars.
It is assumed that for electric cars in the Czech Republic will develop a whole system of discounts and bonuses. These include parking privileges (drivers will be able to park in the blue zones for a nominal fee, which will not exceed 100-200 CZK per year). The state is also going to pay up to 70% of the cost of a car that will be acquired by a legal entity. In addition, companies will be able to apply for financial support in the construction of private charging stations.
ล KODA Auto recently announced that it plans to produce a quarter of its cars with electric motors by 2025. The new electric car ล koda will be able to drive up to 700-800 km in one full charge.
The first serial electric model of the ล KODA brand will be release in 2019: the ล KODA SUPERB will be the first model with a plug-in hybrid power plant. Later, in 2020, the production of a fully electric model will begin in Mlada Boleslav. Moreover, in addition to electric vehicles, components for plug-in hybrid power plants will be produced for various models of the Volkswagen Group.
Students from the ล KODA Vocational School have built a student electric car. The ล KODA ELEMENT, an all-electric powered buggy based on the ล KODA CITIGO. The new student car is a roadworthy beach buggy featuring a solar panel. The electric car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 13 seconds and reaches a top speed of 130 km/h.
By the end of 2018, ฤezeta plans to increase its production of electric scooters to 2000 per year. The demand for electric scooters, created in retro style, using modern technologies, today exceeds supply.
ฤezeta has revived five years ago thanks to the efforts of the British businessman Neil Imon Smith. The development of a prototype of a motor scooter currently produced took 4 years. Production of the model, which is provided by ten mechanics, began in January 2018. A retro-inspired electric scooter is able to reach a speed of 123 km / h and drive 150 kilometres on a single battery charge.
eCharge.io is exploring the Czech market to install there eCharge stations for electric vehicles. eCharge.io is a Swiss company which install charging stations at hotels, offices, shopping malls, parking lots etc.
Since the end of September started the project of eTaxi fleet in Vienna. In the near future, it is also expected to start eTaxi project in Malta, Seoul and Ukraine. The company planning to expand to 50 cars in each of the 10 cities.
Prague is building on its good experience with electric buses and now wants to electrify entire routes. Prague Public Transit Company is preparing a tender for 15 electric buses to arrive by 2021.
The 3ฤSAD union of transport operators ฤSAD Havรญลov, ฤSAD Karvinรก and ฤSAD Frรฝdek-Mรญstek has ordered 12 electric buses from SOR Libchavy. The SOR buses will be charged overnight, with a full charge taking 6 hours.
