Celebrations of the centenary of the foundation of Czechoslovakia are due to culminate next weekend
Video mapping titled “The Witness to History” will be projected onto the National Museum, which is being ceremonially reopened on Saturday after major renovations, and the National Theatre.
The video mapping show will start at 8.00 p.m.
From October 28th till December 31st the museum will be open to visitors for free and there will be a Czech-Slovak exhibition focussing on our common history.
The historical building underwent a major reconstruction and will re-open on 28 October 2018 — the day of the 100th anniversary of the Czechoslovak Republic. The renovations cost amounted to 2.3 billion crowns.
The restoration of the building, which has included repairs of damage dating back to WWII, has been coordinated with the extensive input from local architectural conservationists.
