Czech Rep. to Celebrate European Heritage Days With FREE Entry to Museums and Sites
European Heritage Days will be held in the Czech Republic from 12 to 20 September. You will be able to visit hundreds of historical sites for free or for a reduced entrance fee. Every year, usually during the second weekend of September, the doors of the most interesting monuments, buildings, premises, and areas are opened to the public. About 400 state-protected buildings have joined the event (the number of participants continues to grow, usually it reaches 1000). The list includes castles, palaces, churches, monasteries, museums, theaters, old houses, gardens, but also industrial buildings: factories, mills, breweries, craft workshops, mines.
