The Aquapalace in Čestlice, Central Bohemia, also surpassed one million visitors last year, according to data published by the state agency CzechTourism. Other top ten destinations included the Dolní Vítkovice complex in Ostrava, Aqualand Moravia in Pasohlávky, the Zlín Zoo, Safari Park Dvůr Králové, the Petřín Lookout Tower, and the Ostrava Zoo. A bus rolled over on the road in Öxnadalur, in the northern part of Iceland on Saturday night. Shells purchased from outside the European Union under an initiative launched by Czechia are arriving in Ukraine “in a matter of days”. Last year, the average Czech drank 256 beers, the lowest number since 1963. Despite being the highest in the world, consumption has significantly dropped, and experts predict this trend will continue. The record of 163.5 liters per person in 2005, equivalent to 327 beers, seems unlikely to be matched again. After almost half a century, the Czech Republic will send another astronaut into space. Following in the footsteps of Vladimír Remek, army fighter pilot Aleš Svoboda from the Czech Army’s Tactical Air Force Base in Čáslav will become the second Czech in space.
