Last year, visitors to Prague could take a ride on historical trams on line number 41, and since July also on circular lines 42 and 43 for the first time. During the entire period of operation, they were used by a total of almost 40,000 passengers, two-thirds of which were domestic tourists. Historical tram line 42, which is jointly operated by the municipal companies Dopravní podnik hl.m. Prague (DPP) and Prague City Tourism (PCT) will again take to the streets of Prague on Saturday, March 26, 2022. From the same date, the historical line 41 will also be in operation. Circular historical tram line number 42 will be in operation on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays at the beginning of the season. Services will depart at 40-minute intervals from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The route of the line will be the same as last year, from the Dlabačov stop it will lead past the main sights such as Prague Castle, Royal Summer Palace, Malostranská, around Josefov, Republic Square and Wenceslas Square, from where it will return to Dlabačov via Národní třída and Újezd. Visitors will have a unique opportunity to enjoy the great beer specials of the Czech brewers. Up to 30 Czech breweries with at least one sample of their production, of any beer style. The 4th annual PBFest – Prague Beer Festival will take place on the 1st and 2nd of April at the Prague Market in Holešovice, Building 13. “This year we are also welcoming guest breweries from Belgium, Germany, Poland, Ukraine, Hungary and Estonia. There will be over 150 beers on tap and well as a wide selection of beer specials in bottles and cans available for purchase to take away,” says the organizers. The festival currency is tokens, which will be available for purchase at the festival. The entry fee includes a 0.3l souvenir tasting glass. “We decided to keep tickets at 2019 prices. A single ticket will cost 100 CZK/day in advance and 150/CZK at the door,” they said to Prague Morning. Until 30 March, visitors to Arkády Pankrác shopping centre will have the opportunity to see a unique exhibition of Harley-Davidson motorcycles. The exhibition entitled Harley-Davidson, a legend is coming! includes nearly four dozen motorcycles of the brand from 1918 to 2022, which are located all over the shopping centre. Picodi.com’s new ranking, however, compares which of 56 capitals and large cities of the world are the cheapest and which are the most expensive. Zurich, Oslo, and Helsinki are the most expensive cities on this list. The price of a romantic encounter in these cities ranges between US$184 and US$226. Manila was placed in the cheaper half of the ranking–in 12th place from the bottom. In the capital of the Philippines, a dinner for two in a mid-price restaurant with wine and cinema screening costs $64. Similar prices can be found in Mexico City, New Delhi and Sao Paulo. Ten Prague restaurants won the Golden Broccoli award by Bolt Food, based on customers’ reviews. The awards were given in a total of ten different categories. Among them, the most popular restaurant outside the city centre, the company with the fastest increase in orders through Bolt Food, the highest number of orders for a single dish and the most popular vegan restaurant. PAPRIKA – Mediterranean Kitchen & Bar won the main category Srdcovka as the most popular restaurant. “We knew to have high ratings in the app, but we really didn’t expect that we would become the most popular restaurant on Bolt Food,” says Alen Levi, the owner of PAPRIKA. “Golden broccoli represents a real appreciation of the hard work of our partner restaurants.
