E-Carsharing Company GreenGo to Launch in Prague

Hungarian electric carsharing company GreenGo is set to expand abroad for the first time, setting up an operation in Prague. Three years ago, GreenGo was the first company to introduce a fleet composed solely of environmentally friendly EVs in Central and Eastern Europe with its launch in Budapest. The company grew quickly, expanding its fleet from an initial 45 vehicles to 300 by 2019, and says it is still maintaining steady growth, despite other major service providers joining the Budapest market. People in Prague can already meet GreenGoʼs Volkswagen eUP cars as they are currently conducting test drives around the city. “After securing GreenGo’s Budapest operations, we wanted to expand to a Central European city that offers great business opportunities, has a high affinity for the culture of carsharing, shares some similarities with Budapest in terms of size, and is close to our hometown,” GreenGoʼs managing partner, Bálint Michaletzky comments. Cinema club Evald is a small, classy cinema – it is in the Prague city center, has a stable program with four movies running each day, including mainstream selections, at least movies suitable for a small screen, as well as art movies and films from different countries. The generous front door invites you to the more private underground area, which is cozy with the carpets and classy with the cloakroom, especially handy during winter. In summer, the cool underground environment is relieving and rewarding. No drinks are offered in this cinema, but you can get started before the film in the local restaurant, which is just at the end of the same corridor, and of course, also discuss there later on the impact of the film you have just seen. U Zavěšenýho Kafe – Behind the Tourist Traps

I used to spend many wonderful moments in U Zavěšenýho Kafe a few years ago. Right at the foot of the hill near to the main tourist artery in Prague, Nerudova Street, it’s a stylish cafe with an unusual habit – but more about that later. I think you might appreciate the cafe after climbing up to the castle and wandering around Novy Svet. This cafe is also my recommendation, especially if the tourist trap cafes with low spirits are not tempting for you. During the week, the chef prepares lunch specials for great prices (from 12:00 – 14:00). Apart from lunchtime, you have a wide choice of nice meals. On tap there’s Czech beer and wine and the variety of coffee and drinks on the menu should satisfy almost anyone. Since we’re mentioning the coffee, I must reveal the unusual habit of this cafe…or better not. It is a really precious habit and maybe it is better if you find out for yourselves. A hint: you can get a cup of coffee even if you are broke… but you can also provide a coffee for a person in need. U Zavesenyho Kafe has a concept which is comforting and easygoing. Prague Among Top 10 Best Student Cities in the World

The QS Best Student Cities 2019 has placed both Prague and Brno among the most attractive cities in the world to pursue your studies, according to the students themselves. The survey which was completed by approximately 87,000 students considered factors typically important to students and recent graduates such as; culture, affordability, nightlife, employment opportunities, diversity, ease of getting around, friendliness and so on.  The QS Top Universities article states that students specifically noted the „affordability of everything and the fantastic sights”, as well as the city’s “integration of culture and diversity.“ Not to mention the post-graduate opportunities. There are more and more multinational companies establishing headquarters in Prague every year, and coupled with the historically low unemployment rate graduates have great employment prospects in Prague.  Brno rises three places in this year’s index compared to 2018. Ranked 60th overall, the Czech Republic’s second-largest city also boasts the second-highest student ratio of all the cities in the ranking.
