Jah Wobble and his group Invaders of the Heart keep the flame alive for a legendary figure of English post-punk, as Wobble was a founding member and original bassist of Public Image Ltd. Public Image Ltd. (or PiL) was the group that arose from the ashes of the Sex Pistols. Lead singer of the Sex Pistols, aka Johnny Rotten, retook his birth-name John Lydon to lead PiL. And Jah Wobble as the bassist replaced Sid Vicious, who had become a self-destructive junkie. Wobble played with PiL only on their first two albums, but these are musical landmarks: “First Issue” (1978) and “Metal Box” (1979) renamed “2nd Edition.” Especially, “Metal Box” by PiL with its haunting vocals and cryptic lyrics of Lydon, and Wobble’s steadfast musicianship with a relentless, hyper-rhythmic assault on bass that melts into a gloomy trance-dance music. A taxi driver in Prague charged foreign tourists 7,100 crowns for a 5.5-kilometre ride, Irena Seifertová, a spokesman for the police, told the Czech News Agency. The customers hailed the taxi at Rytířská street in the centre to U Průhon Street in Prague 7. “When they arrived at the location, the driver initially demanded CZK 2,000 for the ride, but then he asked for more money. The customers, in order to get out of the car, eventually paid him CZK 7,100. After that he was stopped by officers from the Taxi Team,” added Seifertová. The ride should not have exceeded CZK 300. According to the officers, the driver did not use the meter, but showed the total amount to the customers on his mobile phone. In the end, he was given a bail of CZK 100,000, which he did not pay on the spot. Therefore, the officers stopped his car, seized his vehicle, and documents. DPP has been building a new trolleybus line from Palmovka to Prosek and from Letňany to Čakovice since January 2022. On October 15 and 16, DPP plans a weekend trial weekend operation with passengers on the Letňany – Čakovice section with a Škoda 30Tr trolleybus borrowed from Hradec Králové. Full operation on the entire line from Palmovka to Miškovice is scheduled to begin after delivery and approval of fifteen new TNS 18 trolleybuses ordered from SOR and equipped by Cegelec. A huge drop in the mortgage market caused developers in Prague to sell only 550 flats in the third quarter of this year. For the first three quarters of this year, sales have so far reached 2,550 and according to current trends, it looks like only around 3,000 flats will be sold in Prague for the whole year. Compared to last year’s record year, when developers sold 7,450 new flats, this is a significant drop. The latest data on the Prague residential real estate market was published in a joint analysis by the development companies Central Group, Trigema and Skanska Residential. “Year-on-year sales fell by sixty percent and quarter-on-quarter they went down by forty-three percent.
