Prague Gets Direct Connection to Uzbekistan
Easier travel to explore Central Asia and Uzbekistan: all this is to be possible thanks to a new regular direct connection from Prague to Tashkent offered by Qanot Sharq Airlines. Flights to the capital of Uzbekistan will be operated once a week, every Thursday. Tickets can be bought on the airline’s website qanotsharq.com. Jaroslav Filip, Prague Airport Aviation Business Director, confirmed that the connection with Uzbekistan was among this year’s priorities. “In 2019, before the Covid-19 pandemic, almost 70 thousand tourists from Central Asian countries visited the Czech Republic. We expect more than 15,000 passengers to use this new route in its first year of operation.” Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, impresses with its modern appearance, where skyscrapers, modern shopping centers and cultural attractions are concentrated.
