History is Made! Markéta Vondroušová Reaches First Wimbledon Final

Markéta Vondroušová reached her first Wimbledon final after a scintillating performance against Ukrainian Elina Svitolina, winning 6-3 6-3 in just an hour and 14 minutes. The 24-year-old Czech star is just the fifth unseeded woman in the Open Era to reach the Wimbledon final and her exquisitely varied game was too much for Svitolina to handle. It was an inspired performance from Vondroušová, who rose to the occasion on Centre Court and got the better of her opponent with a potent mix of speed, spin and power to reach the second grand slam final of her career. There was to be no fairytale ending to Svitolina’s dream run in SW19, but the Ukrainian will undoubtedly leave with her head held high after inspiring her compatriots all over the world. xosotin chelseathông tin chuyển nhượngcâu lạc bộ bóng đá arsenalbóng đá atalantabundesligacầu thủ haalandUEFAevertonfutebol ao vivofutemaxmulticanaisonbetbóng đá world cupbóng đá inter milantin juventusbenzemala ligaclb leicester cityMUman citymessi lionelsalahnapolineymarpsgronaldoserie atottenhamvalenciaAS ROMALeverkusenac milanmbappenapolinewcastleaston villaliverpoolfa cupreal madridpremier leagueAjaxbao bong da247EPLbarcelonabournemouthaff cupasean footballbên lề sân cỏbáo bóng đá mớibóng đá cúp thế giớitin bóng đá ViệtUEFAbáo bóng đá việt namHuyền thoại bóng đágiải ngoại hạng anhSeagametap chi bong da the gioitin bong da lutrận đấu...

Sparta Prague Win 37th Czech Title After Nine Years Wait

Sparta Prague won a 37th Czech football title and their first in nine years following a goalless draw at FC Slovacko on Tuesday. Sparta have a three-point lead over arch-rivals Slavia Prague with one match to go and a better record from the regular season, which makes them unbeatable. Coached by Danish manager Brian Priske, Sparta have secured a spot in the Champions League qualifiers for next season. The Prague side last won the title in 2014, with their first league trophy dating back to 1912. The club was founded as Královské Vonohrady, or King’s Vineyard, in 1893. They became AC Sparta a year later. The eternal rivalry between Sparta and Slavia, the ‘Derby S’ began in 1896 with a friendly match whose result is still disputed to this day. Attracting working-class support, Sparta earned the nickname Železná, ‘Iron’, Sparta, because of their fighting qualities. Czech Javelin Throwers Win Two More Medals at Olympics

Neeraj Chopra won the men’s javelin on Saturday for India’s first-ever Olympic athletics gold. Chopra, 23, managed a winning best of 87.58 metres to go one better than India’s previous best — two silver medals won in the 200m and now-defunct 200m hurdles at the 1900 Paris Games by British-Indian Norman Pritchard. The Czech Republic filled out the podium at Tokyo’s Olympic Stadium, Jakub Vadlejch taking silver with 86.67m and Vitezslav Vesely claiming bronze with 85.44m. “It’s incredible because Vítězslav [Veselý] won the bronze medal,” said silver winner Vadlejch about the two Czech positions on the podium. “So it’s amazing. Schick’s Long-Range Strike Against Scotland Voted Goal of Euro 2020

Czech Republic striker Patrik Schick’s stunning long-range effort against Scotland in the Euro 2020 group stage has been voted the goal of the tournament, European soccer’s governing body UEFA said on Wednesday. Having spotted goalkeeper David Marshall stranded far off his line, Schick fired a curling, looping effort from just inside the Scotland half to find the back of the net. UEFA said Schick’s goal received nearly 800,000 votes, with Frenchman Paul Pogba’s strike into the top corner against Switzerland coming in second, while Croatia’s Luka Modric was third with his outside-of-the-boot effort against Scotland. ‘Equality All The Way’: Czech Tennis Player Jokes About Urinals in Women’s Locker Room

Czech tennis player Andrea Hlaváčková has ridiculed the organizers of the ongoing top tennis event, the Miami Open, revealing that urinals were installed in women’s locker rooms alongside traditional toilets. The 32-year-old posted a picture on Instagram showing her and her doubles partner Barbora Strýcová pretending to use the urinals in a standing position. ‘Equality all the way in Miami,’ the player wrote in the caption, which gained more than 1,500 ‘likes’ in less than 14 hours. Hlaváčková, who announced that she was pregnant in February, froze her WTA ranking with one eye on a return to professional tennis after giving birth to her baby. The former doubles world number three produced a stunning performance last season together with Strycova, winning two titles at the Connecticut Open and China Open, a result which allowed them to qualify for the WTA Finals in Singapore.
